DotA 6.80c Map Download and DotA 6.80b Gold Bug

Dota 6.80c




Not long ago, IceFrog released DotA 6.80c map, the third of its series' as a result of severe GoldExploit in v6.80b which allowed any player to gain unlimited gold by abusing Ward-sharing mechanic.
Luckily, that bug is now fixed, thanks to the quick response by IceFrog. Now you won't see any player with 6x inventory on Level 1. Download the DotA 6.80c map and enjoy fair gaming. Also, read how to perform 6.80b gold bug below!

Download the map (with .w3x extension) and place it in (Warcraft III\Maps\Download) directory. You must have Warcraft 3 TFT v1.24e or above to play this map.

DotA 6.80c Changelogs [Patch Notes]
  • Fixed a gold exploit that was possible with Wards 
Guide to DotA 6.80b Gold Exploit:
  • Pick any hero and completely fill its inventory with Ironwood branches
  • Buy a courier and buy a set of Wards (doesn't matter Sentry or Observer)
  • Buy an Energy Booster and put both wards and booster in Courier's inventory
  • Move courier back to the Fountain so it acquires mana to use Wards. That's why we bought Energy booster.
  • Select courier, click Sentry ward and target your hero standing with full inventory.
  • Since, your hero has full inventory the wards will drop as a Yellow-book on the ground. 
  • Each time you use a single ward from Courier, you get Double (2x) wards in return
  • Pick-up the dropped Wards (yellow-books) again using the courier and repeat the steps.
  • And then sell the Wards for gold until you have gold to buy a 6x inventory. 

Tip: Instead of buying Energy Booster and courier, you can get an ally hero to do the same task.

DotA 6.80b Map Download and Changelogs

IceFrog rolled out a quick update in form of DotA 6.80b to get rid of bugs that appeared earlier, only two of them are reported to fixed in the changelogs.
The first one is Wards being visible to enemy without any need of True Sight while the other one is Viper Strike retaining vision if enemy has Linken Sphere. Now, you can play plant those ninjaobserver wards and start ganking your opponents. Download the new map below!

There is still a slight chance of DotA 6.80c/d map becoming reality. Anyway, the next map will be DotA 6.81 which will probably contain new heroes (Sun Wukong?). Let IceFrog know what would you like to see in next update. Regarding the DotA 6.80 AI, there is no update from 

DotA 6.80 Map Download and Changelogs [Released]

DotA 6.80
IceFrog has just made DotA 6.80 available for download. The update is entirely focused on balancing, no new content has been added. The v6.80 has an interesting series of mechanic changes, heroes tweaks and items rescaling.
For example; Sniper gets extra 80 bonus range, Kelen's Dagger no longer requires mana, You lose gold if you don't pick hero after selection timer runs out and tons of other balances. Make sure you the full patch notes before playing!

DotA 6.80 Changelogs - Balance Update

The changelogs for DotA 6.80 are now officially released. This version brings tons of interesting balance changes through nerfs/reworks. Many heroes that received buffs (for e.g. Broodmother, Earth Spirit) are no longer overpowered in this patch. Kelen's Dagger no longer requires mana, Faceless Void gets 1000 movespeed in Chronosphere and much more. The v6.80 map will be released within a week with all these changes.

Dota 6.80 Changelogs (Patch Notes):

GENERAL

  • You now lose one gold per second if you haven't picked a hero after the selection timer runs out in All Pick
  • All Pick selection time increased from 60 to 75
  • All Pick pre-creep time reduced from 90 to 75 
  • Roshan no longer stops upgrading his hp/damage/armor at 45 minutes
  • Roshan upgrade rate increased by 20%
  • Roshan bounty rescaled from 105-600 to 150-400

HEROES

Alchemist

  • Night vision reduced from 1400 to 800
  • Unstable Concoction maximum shaking duration reduced from 7 to 5.5 
  • Unstable Concoction no longer continues to get stronger while it is in the air

Ancient Apparition

  • Ice Vortex spell damage amplification increased from 10/15/20/25 to 15/20/25/30
  • Ice Vortex duration increased from 12 to 16
  • Ice Vortex aura stickiness increased from 0.1 to the standard 0.5 aura value

Anti-Mage

  • Mana Void radius increased from 300 to 450
  • Added AoE targeting cursor for Mana Void

Axe

  • Base HP regen increased from 2 to 3
  • Berserker's Call duration increased from 1.5/2/2.5/3 to 2.0/2.4/2.8/3.2
  • Berserker's Call cooldown rescaled from 10 to 16/14/12/10


Batrider

  • Attack animation time improved from 0.5 to 0.3

Beastmaster

  • Call of the Wild Hawk duration reduced from 60/70/80/80 to 60
  • Call of the Wild Boar duration reduced from 70/80/90 to 60
  • Call of the Wild no longer destroys previous summons on cast


Bloodseeker

  • Thirst Bonus Speed and damage rescaled from 7/14/21/28 to 5/15/25/35
  • Bloodbath now gives the full hero kill benefit (instead of only half) if he is within the 325 AoE when a hero dies


Brewmaster

  • Primal Split cooldown reduced from 180/160/140 to 140/120/100


Bristleback

  • Base damage reduced by 4

Broodmother

  • Can no longer leave the map boundaries.
  • Spin Web no longer provides 200 vision
  • Free pathing is now removed when enemies have vision over you.


Centaur Warchief

  • Stampede cooldown reduced from 120/90/60 to 90/75/60

Clockwerk

  • Hits required to kill Power Cogs rescaled from 3 to 2/2/2/3


Crystal Maiden

Faceless Void

  • Burning Spear duration increased from 7 to 8
